STANDARD FEE SCHEDULE:

Mary Mathew, LMFT $225 per session (50-60 minutes)

Mary Mathew, LMFT $325 per 90 minute session. This option is great for people who simply would like extra time, couples or families.

PROFESSIONAL CONSULTATIONS

Are you a mental health provider with a client who was suddenly diagnosed with cancer but lack the competence in treating this population? Per the CAMFT Code of Ethics: “5.11 SCOPE OF COMPETENCE:Marriage and family therapists take care to provide proper diagnoses of psychological disorders or conditions and do not assess, test, diagnose, treat, or advise on issues beyond the level of their competence as determined by their education, training, and experience. While developing new areas of practice, marriage and family therapists take steps to ensure the competence of their work through education, training, consultation, and/or supervision.”

Mary Mathew offers professional consultations to other clinicians (PhD, PsyD, LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, trainees and associates) who are working with people effected by cancer. Consultations can be scheduled in 60 minutes ($225) or 90 minutes ($325) time slots.

INSURANCE

Beyond Cancer LA and Centered Psyche Counseling is considered an Out of Network provider for most insurance plans.  Please contact your health insurance plan directly to see what mental health services they cover.  At your convenience, superbills can also be provided monthly, if you choose to submit claims on your own. Most client’s who have a PPO plan and meet their out-of-pocket deductible will receive partial reimbursement from their insurance companies for sessions rendered.

WALK AND TALK THERAPY

“Walk and Talk Therapy” is a treatment modality that became increasing popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, walk and talk therapy is here to stay! Walk and talk therapy is exactly what it sounds. Client and therapist meet in the outdoors (if weather permits) and walk while doing therapy. Mary Mathew, LMFT is available for walk and talk therapy upon request. Typically, talk and talk therapy sessions are done at Kenneth Hahn Park and can range from 60-90 minutes.

TELEHEALTH

Mary Mathew, LMFT is licensed in the state of California and is able to provide services to anyone within the state via Telehealth (video sessions). In-person sessions are available by request. If you are located outside of the state of CA and are interested in services related to cancer, please ask about “Cancer Coaching” during your consultation.
